Effective Drug and Alcohol Treatment

At The Treatment Center, Miami residents can recover from drug addiction and alcoholism with our evidence-based treatment plans. During our 35-day treatment program, patients can break the chains of addiction and restore their lives.

Individualized care is the foundation of our treatment programs. Patients at our rehab center get a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs.

Once a patient arrives at our facility, they will receive a clinical assessment from our staff. We then use the assessment to design the appropriate treatment plan for the patient. Treatment plans are based off the individual’s needs, addiction and recovery goals.

Listed below are a variety of services and therapies that may be included in a patient’s treatment plan:

  • Drug and alcohol detoxification
  • One-on-one therapy
  • Group counseling
  • Treatment for co-occurring disorders (e.g. anxiety, depression)
  • Faith-based recovery program
  • Court Liaison Program
  • Family workshops
  • Relapse prevention
  • Pain management program
  • Inpatient and outpatient programs
  • Aftercare services

During treatment, patients will learn how to rebuild their lives without drugs and alcohol. They will also address any underlying issues that may be contributing to their addiction.

Substance Abuse in Miami, FL

Miami residents are frequently abusing the following substances:

  • Prescription drugs
  • Heroin
  • Methamphetamine
  • Molly/Ecstasy

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), deaths related to prescription opioids decreased 17 percent in Florida in the first half of 2012 compared with the previous six months. Similar to rest of the state, the Miami area saw  a decline in opioid-related deaths. While there has been a decrease in prescription drug abuse, many residents are still abusing oxycodone, hydrocodone and oxymorphone.

Since the state has cracked down on pill mills, many people who were addicted to prescription opiates turned to heroin. In fact, public health officials say that heroin abuse has reached epidemic levels in South Florida.

Although the number of methamphetamine lab closures has been on the decline, the Center for the Study and Prevention of Substance Abuse reports that meth use is on the rise. In particular, meth use is up amongst men.

For years, Miami has been known for its nightlife scene. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that residents frequently abuse ecstasy and Molly. There has been an increase in emergency department visits for Ecstasy.
