A Glimpse into the Detox Process

Why Detox is Crucial?

A proper drug and alcohol detoxification will help withdraw toxic chemical substances from the body in a safe manner. The most effective detoxification process includes around-the-clock medical attention and psychiatric care that addresses any underlying mental health issues that may be present.

When detoxing from drugs and alcohol, patients are more likely to experience medical complications and psychiatric breakdowns due to the body’s natural reaction to the withdrawal process or due to pre-existing conditions. Although many people believe they can detox on their own, it’s safer and a more effective approach to detox with 24-hour medical supervision.

Thorough Assessment

At our facility, the detox process can last from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. The length of a patient’s detox depends on how much they’ve been using, the amount they’ve been using, how long the addiction has occurred and what types of drugs and alcohol have been used simultaneously.

When patients arrive, they are first given an assessment to figure out the best detox approach, what treatments should be administered, and for how long. Whether there are pre-existing medical conditions or complications as a result of the drug or alcohol use, our medical doctors and nursing staff care for patients from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.

Unparalleled Care

Our patients are under 24-hour observation and our nurses check vital signs around the clock. On a daily basis, patients are assessed by medical and psychiatric staff to provide a well-rounded, multi-disciplined treatment approach.

Our mission is to ensure that we provide our patients with adequate care in a safe, compassionate environment. To learn more about the detox process, watch the video above or call to speak to one of our admissions counselors today at (877) 392-3342.
